It is a bottom bee space hive, although a top bee space version is available by request. It has very substantial hand holds that make lifting the very heavy honey laden supers an ease.

The Langstroth Hive is the most popular hive throughout the world. Widely used by commercial beekeepers. It also has a Jumbo Brood Chamber option allowing extra large frames and thus increased brood area. A very simple and useable design. It is a top bee space hive.

Similar design to the Langstroth giving increased brood area, however, measurements allow the interchangeability with the National Hive. The Floors, Queen Excluders, Crownboards and Roofs are all transferable between them. The Frames, however, are NOT interchangeable with the National Hive.
