The Langstroth Hive is the most popular hive throughout the world. Widely used by commercial beekeepers. It also has a Jumbo Brood Chamber option allowing extra large frames and thus increased brood area. A very simple and useable design. It is a top bee space hive.

Due to the double wall construction it can offer good insulation against the English variable weather.

However, on the down side, it is not to be recommended if you wish to regularly move your colonies, such as to harvest Heather Honey, due to the many parts in it's construction.
